Who this course is for

The CCN1 Reassessment is a mandatory requirement for qualified gas engineers looking to renew their ACS certification and maintain Gas Safe registration. Valid every five years, the CCN1 reassessment confirms your ongoing competence in core domestic gas safety, including installation, maintenance, tightness testing, ventilation, and fault finding, in line with current industry regulations. Designed for experienced tradespeople already working in gas, the CCN1 Reassessment is shorter and more streamlined than the initial assessment, focusing on up-to-date knowledge and practical skills. Assessments are carried out by industry-qualified assessors in realistic working environments, ensuring you remain compliant and confident on the job. Completing your CCN1 ACS reassessment on time means not only can you carry on working but also that you do not have to repeat the lengthy CCN1 Initial Assessment gain (which you would have to do if your CCN1 Assessment lapses).

Entry requirements

You must hold or have held a CCN1 certification to qualify for reassessment. If your certification lapsed more than 12 months ago you will need to undertake the Initial Assessment again rather than the Reassessment. Your previous certificates must be produced at the time of reassessment as evidence that you hold the original certification.
