The one-year BEng top-up programme is designed to help you complete the journey to a full degree programme, either from a Foundation Degree or an equivalent Level 5 qualification.The College offers the following three programmes:BEng (Hons) Integrated Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Top-Up)BEng (Hons) Integrated Mechanical Engineering (Top-Up)BEng (Hons) Integrated Manufacturing Engineering (Top-Up)These new programmes are in line with IET accreditation regulated by the Office of Students (OfS), with the qualification awarded by Sheffield Hallam University.The programmes are delivered at our Roundhouse campus in the award-winning vocational skills centre packed with the latest industry-standard scientific and mechanical equipment - from rapid prototyping to robotics, CAD to electronics.The course is delivered as a series of modules that cover the major themes relevant to today’s engineering industry. Each module contains industrial relevance and are generally delivered to small groups of students for nine hours (6 x 1.5 hours) over 33 weeks. As well as nine hours spent in college, it is expected that students will spend at least equal this time working outside college on assessments, research, revision and other guided learning activities.Further information about the BEng Degree course can be obtained from the Engineering HE Coordinators.
Entry requirements
All applicants will be invited to an interview to discuss their qualifications, experience and any other related issues.
