About this course

AAT Level 2 Certificate Accounting Course in Manchester. Classes run at Trafford & Stockport College Stretford Campus, part-time during the day.

The course covers double-entry bookkeeping, basic costing, and how businesses manage their finances. You'll also study computerised accounting and the principles behind financial documents. Classes run over two years at a manageable pace. You must be 19 or over to enrol. You'll need numeracy and literacy skills at around Level 1 to start.

You'll finish with a Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.

Entry requirements

You must be aged 19+. You will be asked to complete an initial assessment to ensure your numeracy and literacy skills are sufficient to do well on the course. You should be working towards a minimum of level 1 for both Maths and English to commence the programme. You must have access to a computer/laptop at home supported by Wi Fi.

How you will learn

You'll attend classroom sessions at the Stretford Campus during the day. Learning is supported by coursework and assessments throughout the course. AAT qualifications are assessed through computer-based exams set by AAT. You'll sit these exams at key points during your two years of study.
