About this course

AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping Course in Bournemouth. Classes run at Kings Park Leisure & Learning Centre on Friday afternoons, over 17 weeks. This course covers two additional units, Principles of Costing and The Business Environment, building on the bookkeeping units you've already completed. Together, the four units make up the full Level 2 AAT Accounting qualification. The part-time daytime schedule means you can fit study around other commitments. Concessions may be available on the course fee.

We have designed this course to support you with working in the Accounting sector. Successful completion of this course will provide skills and knowledge required for job roles working in bookkeeping, accounting or financial and business administration.

The AAT Level 2 Pathway; Certificate in Bookkeeping - which we have called Accounting Part 1 here - is aimed at individuals who wish to further their studies of bookkeeping and gain a competence qualification at Level 2 of the National Framework from a point of some previous experience and successful completion of Bookkeeping Level 1. Candidates wishing to join this course need to have a basic understanding of manual double entry bookkeeping.

You will need to be able to attend one of our centres in Bournemouth or Poole to sit the exam/exams.

This course is a pre-requisite for anyone wanting to progress to the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting Part 2 or the AAT Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping.

There is an expectation that if you enrol on this course, you are willing to commit fully to the period of time involved in this course, the associated home study and the assessed work required, and intend to sit the examination if applicable. How you will learn

You'll attend weekly classroom sessions on Friday afternoons at Kings Park Leisure & Learning Centre. The course is taught face to face. Assessment for AAT qualifications is by computer-based exam, which you'll sit at an approved AAT assessment venue. Your tutor will prepare you for the exam during the course.
