About this course

AAT Level 2 Accounting Course in Newcastle upon Tyne. Classes run at Kaplan Newcastle, part-time on a day or block release basis. Who this course is for

Kaplan's Foundation Certificate in Accounting covers a range of basic accounting principles and techniques, from costing and double-entry bookkeeping to using accounting software. It is ideally suited for someone who is new to accounting and finance, someone who perhaps works in an accounts department but wants to gain a qualification or enhance their foundation knowledge and skills or someone who is looking to change their career. Top five skills you'll gain: Effective business communication skills including letters, memos and informal reports Processing payments and receipts Preparing invoices Completing bank reconciliations Using accounting software

How you will learn

You'll study in a classroom at Kaplan Newcastle on a day or block release timetable. The course includes tutor-led sessions covering the full syllabus. Assessment is through the AAT Foundation Synoptic Assessment (FSYA), a formal exam that tests your knowledge across all units. The Work Effectively in Finance unit is assessed only through this synoptic exam.
