Summary
As a Site Carpentry Apprentice at Complete Fixing Solutions (CFS), you will work alongside experienced carpenters and site teams on commercial fit-out projects while completing your apprenticeship qualification.
What you will do at work
- Assist with the installation of doors, frames and ironmongery
- Install skirting, architraves, wall panelling and other internal joinery
- Assist with bespoke joinery and fit-out installations
- Read and work from drawings and specifications
- Measure, mark out and prepare materials for installation
- Safely use hand tools and power tools
- Assist with setting out and checking completed work
- Maintain good housekeeping and keep work areas tidy
- Follow site rules, RAMS and CFS health and safety procedures
- Attend college, training and apprenticeship assessments as required
- Complete apprenticeship portfolio evidence and development activities
- Work closely with supervisors, carpenters and other trades on site
Training
Training will be delivered mainly through practical, on-the-job learning on site, working alongside experienced carpenters and supervisors. Apprentices will also attend college on a one-day-per-week day-release basis to complete the classroom and theory elements of their apprenticeship.
