Summary
Build and grow a department to support the growth of the company by identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across both B2B and B2C markets, with a particular focus on accredited training courses, consultancy services and long-term client relationships.
What you will do at work
This role is ideal for a current sales or business development professional looking to make their next steps within sales as a trainee manager. The successful candidate will have sales experience and be familiar working in an office environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell accredited training courses, primarily NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications
- Identify and develop new Business to Business training opportunities with employers and organisations
- Build relationships with prospective clients through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and digital marketing activities
- Attend local employment events, networking groups, exhibitions and trade shows to promote the business
- Research and identify new business opportunities and maintain a sales pipeline
- Search for, review and assist with the preparation of PQQs, tender submissions and framework applications
- Support bid writing and contract acquisition activities
- Follow up customer enquiries, quotations and proposals
- Maintain CRM records and sales activity reporting
- Assist with marketing campaigns promoting both Business to Business and Business to Consumer services
- Support the growth of corporate training contracts, consultancy services and repeat business opportunities
- Develop a sound understanding of health and safety training and consultancy services to support customer enquiries and sales conversations
- Build and grow a new department with future management responsibilities
Training
The apprenticeship is an onsite delivery and as such will be supported by regular reviews and meetings with your tutor online.
Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the occupational standard. A certain percentage of your time will be spent on the job with the other percentage being for off the job learning, this can include:

About this employer

You should be aware that you will be placed with a host employer but you will not be employed by them. Your placement may change during the course of your apprenticeship but TrAC will employ you throughout, as well as continuing to support you into employment or further learning at the end of your apprenticeship.
