Fantastic opportunity, fully funded training provided. Training will take place on the job, alongside online learning. The applicant is required to do all aspects of dental nursing, including decontamination procedures. Duties include: working alongside the dentist, taking instructions, and maintaining good infection control procedures.
What you will do at work
- Working alongside the dentist, taking instructions from them
- Maintaining good infection control procedures
- Ensuring the cleanliness of surgery, equipment and instruments
- Dictate information from the dentist
- Arrange appointments, answer calls and input data
- Ensure records are kept up to date and maintain confidentiality at all times
Training
- The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Dental Nursing apprenticeship provides you with the qualifications and skills required to work within the field of a dental nurse
- This is an online training programme with weekly online teaching sessions
- The training schedule has yet to be agreed upon, further details will be made available at a later date
- Once qualified, you can register as a dental nurse with the General Dental Council

Things to consider
You will need to have a DBS check and Hepatitis B vaccinations to work in a clinical setting.
