It builds analytical and research skills alongside subject knowledge. The course is designed for 16 to 19 year olds, though adult learners are also welcome. You'll need five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4, including English and maths.

You'll finish with a WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Criminology.

Who this course is for

If you are intending to pursue health, fitness or sports-related occupations in the future such as recreation management, sports development, coaching, instructing or teaching, this course is for you. It allows you to explore sport both as a performer and academically and gives you the opportunity to study a work related qualification alongside other level 3 courses such as A levels or other BTEC qualifications. The equivalent of 1 A level, it will also give you transferable skills such as teamwork, leadership and resilience that are useful for a variety of careers and higher education courses.
