About this course

Free Level 2 Warehousing Course. Study online at your own pace over 12 weeks. The course is fully funded by the Department for Education Adult Skills Fund for eligible residents in Leicester, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, and Rutland. You study through an online platform with live sessions running alongside your self-paced work. The course covers the principles of warehousing and storage, giving you the knowledge employers in logistics and distribution look for. It suits people who need flexibility and cannot commit to fixed classroom hours. Earn your NCFE Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Warehousing and Storage with certificate.

Who this course is for

Employers across York and North Yorkshire are looking for people with warehousing and forklift skills. This 12-week course helps you gain the qualifications they need and connects you to local job opportunities.

Entry requirements

Aged 19 or over (no upper age limit). Live in York and North Yorkshire (YNYCA area). Unemployed and receiving benefits; OR economically inactive (e.g. caring responsibilities or health reasons); OR employed but earning below £25,750 gross annually before deductions.. Income: Below £25,750 gross annually (if employed). Must have the right to work and study in the UK. Must commit to 12-week programme including online sessions, practical forklift training, and weekly coach support.

How you will learn

The course runs fully online over 12 weeks through a Moodle learning platform. Live Zoom sessions run alongside your self-paced study, and attending them is strongly encouraged. You'll be assessed through online tasks and written questions that test your understanding of warehousing principles. A dedicated Success Coach supports you throughout the programme.
