Free Level 2 Site Carpentry Course in Manchester. Classes run at Hopwood Hall College Middleton Campus, full-time during the day. The course takes one year and covers the practical and technical skills carpenters use on site every day. You'll need four GCSE passes at grade 3 or above (including English and Maths), a Level 1 qualification, or one to five years' experience in the trade. If you don't yet have grade 4 or above in English and Maths, you'll study those alongside your carpentry classes.

How you will learn
You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in workshop and classroom settings. Assessment combines practical tasks, where you demonstrate carpentry skills directly, with knowledge-based tests. You'll build a portfolio of evidence showing your competence across the units. Tutors will observe your work and assess your ability to carry out tasks to industry standards.
