About this course

Free Level 2 Music Production and Business Course in London. Classes run at Big Creative Education, full-time during the day.

You'll study beat making, sequencing, and audio engineering alongside music theory and mixing techniques. The course also covers composing music for media, sound design, and how the music industry works, including marketing and promotion. You work in industry-standard studios using Logic Pro, Ableton, and Native Instruments. A work experience placement is part of the course. It runs over 35 weeks.

You'll need three GCSEs at grade D or above, including English, or a Functional Skills English Level 1 qualification. You finish with a Level 2 Extended Certificate for Music Practitioners.

Who this course is for

Gaining an insight into being a producer in today’s music industry, you will be introduced to the variety of job roles for a music producer and the knowledge and skills required to succeed. You will also receive essential music business knowledge exploring the industry structure and how it operates.

Entry requirements

3 GCSEs at grade D or above (including English) or equivalent

Applicants who do not have a D in GCSE English must have Functional Skills English at Level 1.
