Free Level 1 Entry to the Uniformed Services Course in Chatham. Classes run full-time at MidKent College Medway Campus.
The course builds the foundation skills you need to work in the uniformed services. You'll develop teamwork, communication, leadership, and self-discipline. Industry speakers and visits give you a real picture of careers in the police, fire service, prison service, and beyond. You'll need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 2 or above, including English or maths, to join. The course runs for one year.
You'll finish with an NCFE Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services.
The Level 1 in Entry to the Uniformed Services will give you the foundation skills needed to progress to the level 2 qualification. You will develop your teamwork, communication and leadership skills, as well as develop self discipline.
Our industry experienced lecturers will share more about the different career opportunities available to you, as well as the physical fitness needed! Youll be inspired by industry speakers, as well as have the opportunity to go out into industry.All MidKent College students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a work placement in a role relevant to your study and/or a work based project with local employers. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.
