About this course

Free Level 1 Electrical Installation Course in Durham. Classes run at New College Durham, full-time during the day.

The course is free for 16 to 18 year olds who meet residency criteria. If you are 19 or over, fees may apply depending on your circumstances.

You will study in fully equipped workshops. Topics include safe working practices, site preparation, wiring and terminations, fabrication techniques, and environmental and sustainability measures. The course runs for one year. You will need at least a grade 3 in GCSE Maths and English to enrol. You will finish with a City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Electrical Installation.
