Free Entry Level ESOL Skills for Life (reading) Course in Lewisham. Classes run at Deptford Adult Learning. Daytime sessions run part-time, so you can fit study around other commitments. Who this course is for

This course is for individuals that have little or some English reading skills. You will learn how to read simple English to help you go about your daily life. You will learn how to read basic forms, use a dictionary, read a letter from your surgery and any letters from your child�s school. You will be able to read basic health & safety and transport information.

Entry requirements

Prior ESOL E1 qualification is required, otherwise you will have to complete an initial assessment as part of your enrolment.

You'll learn in a classroom at Deptford Adult Learning, with daytime sessions running part-time over 48 hours. Learning is built around everyday reading tasks: letters, forms, signs, and short texts. Assessment is through tasks and activities that reflect real reading situations at Entry Level 2. Your tutor will track your progress throughout the course.
