Free Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Course in Birmingham. Classes run at Golden Hillock Women's Centre. This full-time, daytime course takes one year and covers child development, safeguarding, inclusive practice, legislation, and planning play activities for children from birth to five years. You'll also complete a 250-hour placement in a childcare setting. To enrol, you'll need four GCSEs at grade 3 or above (including English and maths), or Functional Skills Level 1 in English and maths.
Who this course is for
This one-year Level 2 qualification is for adults who want to work with children between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years. The course aims to help you understand what makes good quality childcare. The course covers a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas including early years and social care, so you'll develop the skills you need to support you to progress onto Level 3 qualifications across a number of sectors.
